Luxury Casino

Luxury Casino

Upon visiting Captain Cooks Casino, you’ll need to disable your ad-blocking software. That’s odd, but at Luxury Casino, things are even odder. You’re immediately greeted with a stark security warning about the site’s security certificate, a red flag that many visitors would be hesitant to overlook. Those who venture beyond this warning will quickly realise that Luxury Casino falls short of its opulent name. The homepage features a low-resolution black-and-white GIF of a roulette wheel spinning endlessly, setting a rather lacklustre scene.

The bulk of the homepage is dedicated to Luxury Casino’s welcome offer, which claims to provide up to £1000 over five deposits, requiring players to deposit a total of £2300 to access the full bonus. This bonus is tied to a staggering x200 wagering requirement. Indeed, this is accurate. Not only do most of the Captain Cooks Casino sister sites have unappealing aesthetics, but their terms and conditions are equally unattractive. Despite its name, Luxury Casino fails to deliver the five-star experience one might expect, offering a service that is far from luxurious.

Grand Mondial

Grand Mondial

Grand Mondial endeavours to portray itself as a highly generous online casino, with its homepage featuring an image of a fortunate player receiving a $1.4m cheque. This presentation has a few caveats, however. Firstly, the amount is displayed in dollars, not pounds, highlighting that Grand Mondial isn’t primarily catering to a UK audience. Secondly, the cheque is issued by Casino Rewards, not Grand Mondial itself. Since Casino Rewards isn’t the name of this casino or its managing network, it’s unclear who actually rewarded this fortunate individual, but it evidently wasn’t Grand Mondial.

The sign-up offer at Grand Mondial seems more reasonable compared to other Captain Cooks Casino sister sites, as it doesn’t burden players with an unmanageable amount of bonus funds. With a £10 deposit, players receive 150 bonus spins on Mega Moolah, aiming for the top prize. However, the catch lies in the same x200 wagering requirement, even on big wins. Imagine hitting the £2m jackpot on Mega Moolah, only to face the daunting task of wagering it 200 times before any withdrawal is possible. That’s a scenario where you could find yourself endlessly spinning for a lifetime!

Zodiac Casino

Zodiac Casino

The theme of Zodiac Casino is all about the signs of the zodiac and the long and storied history of astrology. That would have been an entertaining theme in the hands of better web designers, but sadly, this is an Apollo Entertainment Limited platform. That means that Zodiac Casino is no more interesting to look at than any of the other Captain Cook’s Casino sister sites. There is, however, an interesting wrinkle with the casino’s welcome promotion. Instead of offering free spins or a matched deposit, it offers new players eighty free spins on Mega Moolah, the infamous “Millionaire Maker” slots game by Games Global.

Eighty shots at potentially becoming a millionaire sounds exciting as a prospect, but your excitement will surely be ruined when you find out that any winnings that come from the promotion are tied to the operator’s scandalous x200 wagering requirement. Trying to wager one million pounds two hundred times is a task that might take you the rest of your life on this planet, and the welcome promotion is rendered effectively worthless because of the clause. As for the rest of the casino – there’s nothing about it that’s worth writing home about.

Quatro Casino

Quatro Casino

At many of the Captain Cooks Casino sister sites, the thematic design is superficial, with Quatro Casino serving as a prime example. Quatro Casino seems to aim for a Norse theme, suggested by the Viking character on the top-left of its homepage, though his role is never clarified. In terms of gaming content, the casinos under Apollo Entertainment Limited offer similar portfolios, leaving their thematic designs and welcome offers as the main differentiators.

Quatro Casino introduces a unique welcome bonus, offering seven hundred free spins distributed over a new player’s first seven days, alongside a matched deposit bonus of up to £100. These spins must be used on the day they’re given, or they expire. Both the bonus funds and any winnings from the free spins are subject to a daunting x200 wagering requirement, making it highly unlikely for players to withdraw anything from these promotions. The constantly updating ticker of recent winners displays payouts in Canadian dollars, casting doubt on whether UK players ever secure significant wins at Quatro Casino.

Casino Action

Casino Action

Casino Action stands out as the most welcoming among the Captain Cooks Casino sister sites, thanks to a troupe of animated characters gracing its homepage, acting as the casino’s mascots. The site claims to offer thrilling casino experiences at our fingertips with commendable speed – a feature it certainly delivers on, as Casino Action loads impressively fast. This quick-loading trait is common across the Apollo Entertainment Limited casino sites. However, their welcome offers and promotions are a different story.

At first look, Casino Action appears to offer the most substantial welcome bonus in the Apollo Entertainment Limited network, with a potential total of £1250, spread over five deposits. To maximize this offer, a player would need to deposit a cumulative £3200, still facing the daunting x200 wagering requirement. Despite the sizeable progressive jackpots and the engaging cartoon characters, these stringent terms are hard to ignore. It’s unusual to encounter bonus promotions that seem counterproductive, but this appears to be the norm across the Captain Cooks Casino sister sites.

Captain Cooks Casino Review 2026

We’re going to assume that those of you who are reading these words now have also read everything we’ve had to say thus far about the Captain Cooks Casino sister sites. If so, your expectations should be low. Keep them there as we go into the finer details of the casino. While the name “Captain Cooks Casino” and the ship in the site’s logo suggest that the casino ought to have a nautical theme, there’s nothing nautical about the site save for the logo itself. It’s just as bland and out-of-date as the rest of the Apollo Entertainment casinos when it comes to presentation, but let’s find out if it improves when it comes to substance.

Captain Cooks Casino sister sites homepage

Captain Cooks Casino Welcome Offer

The welcome promotion at Captain Cook Casino used to be a prize draw with a top prize of millions of pounds, but virtually no chance of ever winning it. Things have changed since we last visited the casino to review it, though, and the bonus has been toned down a little. Now, players can get a 100% match up to £100 with their first deposit and a 25% match up to the same amount with their second deposit for a bonus package worth £200 in total. It sound be a small but respectable bonus were it not for the wagering requirements, which are set at a frankly disgusting x200. Nobody is ever going to beat those requirements, so the bonus is essentially vapour. Wagering requirements higher than x10 are scheduled to become illegal in the UK as of the end of 2025, so it’ll be interesting to see how this casino network responds to that.

Ongoing Promotions

All of the pages on this casino’s website have a date at the bottom of them to tell you when they were last updated. Very few of them have been updated since 2019, which is a fact that tells its own story, and none of them are labelled anything helpful like “Bonuses” or “Promotions.” As such, we have no idea if there are any other promotions available at Captain Cooks Casino or not. The site claims about halfway down its homepage that it offers ongoing weekly bonuses and “the best online casino loyalty program,” but as it never bothers to explain what those weekly or loyalty bonuses are, it’s impossible for us to evaluate them or even confirm that they exist.

What are the Pros and Cons of Captain Cooks Casino?

Pros: Finding something positive to say about Captain Cooks Casino isn’t easy, but the fact that it’s been online since 2000 means that it pleases somebody somewhere. It has a clean UK Gambling Commission licence, so it’s safe, and it offers live chat support to players in need. That’s about as positive as we can get.

Cons: Literally everything else. The quality of the website is dreadful, resembling something from the early years of the 21st century. The games collection is dated. The site isn’t specific about the ongoing promotions that it offers, and the terms and conditions of its welcome promotion are disgraceful. No casino that asks players to deal with an x200 wagering requirement is deserving of respect.

Top Games at Captin Cooks Casino

The library of slots and games at Captain Cooks Casino isn’t massive, but it’s also not too small. There are, by the site’s own reckoning, about 510 games here. A lot of the slots in the collection are drawn from a single provider – Games Global, formerly known as Microgaming. It’s their legendary Mega Moolah slots game, known to thousands of players all over the world as “The Millionaire Maker” because of its massive progressive jackpot, that plays a central role in the casino’s welcome promotion. Other slots that are referenced by screenshots on the casino’s homepage include the official slots game of Bridesmaids, the official slots game of Game of Thrones, and one of the various official Lara Croft: Tomb Raider slots. That’s an indication of how long it’s been since the homepage received any updates.

If you’re not looking to play slots, you’ve probably come to the wrong casino. However, there are a few options if you’d rather play table games, including online blackjack, online roulette, and online video poker. Back on the topic of slots, though, one of the casino’s saving graces is that the “Games” page lists all of the games at Captain Cooks Casino by RTP. You can stick to the higher-paying slots and avoid the lower-paying ones if you’re a strategic player.

Withdrawal Processing and Support

There isn’t a banking page or a payments page at the casino, so we have to do a little bit of guesswork here. The logos of Neteller, Skrill, and PayPal appear in the footer of the Captain Cook Casino website, but no logos for debit cards or any other methods. Is it possible that the UK version of this casino is e-wallet only? It certainly appears to be so. As such, we’d hope for withdrawals to be fast, but there’s no discussion of timescales for the payment process anywhere on the casino’s website.

Customer Support and Licensing

Live chat is advertised as being available 24/7 through the icon on the “Contact Us” page. If you’re struggling to get hold of anybody on the chat feature, send an email to support@crhelpdesk.com and ask for assistance that way instead. Captain Cooks Casino is covered by UK Gambling Commission licence 38620, which belongs to Apollo Entertainment Limited. The operator has maintained a long-held clean track record with the UKGC, with no fines, sanctions or other blemishes on its record. The same licence covers all of the Captain Cooks Casino sister sites.

Captain Cooks Casino – The Verdict

Visiting Captain Cooks Casino might be a good idea if you want to see how far online casinos have come in the past twenty years by getting a reminder of how bad things used to be. Outside of that niche, we struggle to see who this casino might appeal to. It’s old, it’s shabby, it’s dull, and the wagering requirements attached to its welcome promotion are insultingly unfair to players. When there are literally hundreds of better bets out there in the UK iGaming scene, we can’t think of a good reason to spend time trying to get something out of this one. If you’re outside the UK, though, we understand you have access to a completely different and far more attractive version of the casino, so it might still be worth a look.

What are players saying about Captain Cooks Casino?

Here are our reader’s digest summaries of recent Captain Cook Casino reviews from real players.

  • 20-Nov-2025 by J.F:
  • A small £20 bonus never hurts and that was the highlight for me. It’s nothing life-changing, but a bit of extra balance is always welcome, and the experience as a whole was fine rather than fantastic. Not much more to say other than that it did what it said it would, even if it didn’t blow me away. – source: Trustpilot
  • 19-Nov-2025 by C.M:
I had a slight issue and was impressed by how quickly it was sorted. The response was fast, the solution was clear, and everything was done without any faffing about. Really good service and it left me with a positive impression overall. – source: Trustpilot
  • 18-Nov-2025 by Jesse:
My withdrawal arrived but they’d linked it to a security answer that isn’t mine, so the funds are sitting there with no way for me to release them. It’s frustrating to know the money is technically sent but stuck behind the wrong details, so at the moment I’m still waiting for it to actually land in my account. – source: Trustpilot
  • 18-Nov-2025 by Trust-in-Truth:
I won’t be returning to this casino after the way they handled my query about missing loyalty points. Instead of helping, the automated chat became hostile and I ended up restricted for simply asking about what I’d earned. It’s put me right off and I’ve reported the whole thing because no player should be treated like that for raising a straightforward issue. – source: Trustpilot
  • 17-Nov-2025 by Allen:
I’m annoyed because they keep blocking me from using my reward points, claiming I haven’t deposited enough to redeem the £20 bonus I’ve actually earned. It feels like they’re pushing for more deposits rather than honouring their own system. After more than a year and still no meaningful win, I’m done with it. The whole thing feels unfair, and the name Captain Crooks fits better at this point. Avoid reward-style casinos like this if you don’t want to experience the same frustration. – source: Trustpilot
  • 16-Nov-2025 by Breigh-Anna:
I had a great interaction with the support team. They were polite, quick, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience feel easy and pleasant. Really impressed with how they handled my query from start to finish. – source: Trustpilot
  • 16-Nov-2025 by Rae:
I consistently have good experiences here. Everything from the bonuses to the games feels well put together and I always walk away satisfied. It’s one of the few casinos where I genuinely feel like they try to keep things enjoyable, so I’m happy to keep coming back. – source: Trustpilot
  • 12-Nov-2025 by H.A.:
I had a question about a card game but couldn’t get through to a real person because the chat kept looping me back to preset answers. It’s frustrating when you need actual help and all you get is a chatbot that doesn’t understand the issue. It made it impossible to resolve what should have been a simple problem. – source: Trustpilot
  • 11-Nov-2025 by Roxanne:
My experience has been awful. Both times I tried to claim bonuses they’d mailed to me, my account was suspended with no real explanation. I was told I’d have to wait months for it to be lifted, even though I’d followed the instructions exactly. Support redirected me in circles and never gave a straight answer, especially when it came to why one part of the offer worked but the matched bonus didn’t. It’s happened twice now and I’m left feeling misled and ignored at every turn. – source: Trustpilot
  • 09-Nov-2025 by Dani:
I really enjoy the games and usually have a smooth time, but I’m constantly being blocked from redeeming my loyalty points. I’ve built up over £60 worth yet they keep telling me I haven’t deposited enough, even though earning those points in the first place comes from depositing and playing. It’s frustrating to be shut out of rewards while still being encouraged to play. The games keep me coming back, but the way loyalty is handled definitely doesn’t feel fair. – source: Trustpilot

Captain Cooks Casino – A Deeper Dive

Watch Out For Ad-Blockers

Upon returning to Captain Cooks Casino to write this article, we briefly thought that the casino had died. We couldn’t find any casino games, any information, or even any graphics. Clicking on the “play now” button didn’t do anything. To put it bluntly, nothing worked. We were about to give it up as a bad job when we noticed that our ad-blocker software had prevented 27 elements of the page from loading. Once we fixed that, the whole website appeared as normal. If you use ad-blocking software – which is surely the norm in the 2020s – you’ll have to do the same if you want to use the Captain Cooks Casino website.

We’re yet to have this issue with any other casino website, and we’re struggling to imagine what the casino’s parent company, Apollo Entertainment Limited, might have done with the coding of the site to make this happen. We presume that whatever the problem is must be down to them because the same thing happens when checking their casino affiliate website. Suffice to say, having your site coded in the way that ad-blocking software sees an issue with it isn’t a great thing for attracting new customers. The casino will inevitably lose potential customers because of this until the problem is fixed. As the overall design of the casino is extremely dated anyway, a complete overhaul wouldn’t be a terrible thing.

The Quiet Brand

Captain Cooks Casino is one of the most popular casinos in the UK. We know that because we monitor traffic and statistics. What we don’t know is how it’s managed to build or maintain this level of popularity. It’s one of the quietest online casino brands we’ve ever come across.

When a casino brand promotes itself, it leaves a trace somewhere. That might come in the form of a sponsored Tweet, a promoted Facebook post, or a paid-for product placement in a newspaper or magazine. None of those things exists for Captain Cooks Casino. The brand has never been advertised on television. It doesn’t have a YouTube channel, so we can only assume that neither Captain Cooks Casino nor Apollo Entertainment Limited has ever paid for an advert for the casino brand in video form. The official Facebook page for the casino is silent. The Twitter account, which has only ten followers as of the time of writing, hasn’t said a word since March 2017. We can find no record of Captain Cooks Casino paying for sponsorships or endorsements. From a promotional point of view, Captain Cooks Casino is essentially dormant. However, it continues to attract enough players to remain popular. It’s like a magic trick. We don’t know how they do it, but we applaud it!

Why Captain Cook?

Online casinos don’t get their names by accident. A lot of thought goes into naming a brand. During that thought process, a casino operator will wonder whether a brand name is snappy enough to stay in a customer’s head and how it can be developed into a theme for marketing purposes. If you’ve spent time on the Captain Cooks Casino website, you’ll know that it’s presented with a nautical theme that runs all the way through to the boat in the casino’s logo. Where does this theme come from, though, and what does it have to do with the name?

Although there’s an outside possibility that the “Captain Cook” name might be a reference to one of two pirates, it’s far more likely that the inspiration came from the historical figure Captain James Cook, who was a famed explorer in the 18th century. Born in Yorkshire, James Cook was a captain in the British Royal Navy and is most famous for his trips to the islands of the Pacific Ocean, Australia, and New Zealand. Among the many “firsts” credited to Captain James Cook are becoming the first European to set foot on the eastern coastline of Australia, the first to reach the Hawaiian islands, and the fist to complete a full circumnavigation of New Zealand. The Cook Islands are named after James Cook, as are whole towns on some of the islands he travelled to.

Cook is arguably the last great explorer of the oceans. By the time his career came to an end, almost everything had been mapped in detail. Much of that mapping was done by Cook himself, who racked up thousands of hours of sailing time across parts of the world that had never been charted before. He was a pioneering spirit, but his pioneering spirit ultimately proved to be his undoing.

In 1779, Hawaiian tribespeople stole a cutter from one of Cook’s ships while his fleet was in the region. It’s thought that the cutter was stolen in retaliation for Cook’s men taking wood from a sacred burial ground and using it to repair their vessels. Cook visited the Hawaiian King Kalani’opu’u in person in an attempt to resolve the dispute. That turned out to be the mistake that cost him his life. The negotiations broke down, and Cook tried to kidnap and ransom the king for the return of his missing cutter. He was subsequently attacked and killed by the islanders as he tried to lead the king to his waiting ship on the shore.

You might read all of the above and think that it makes Captain Cook an unlikely candidate to inspire a casino website, but we’ve seen stranger themes. Anyone who visits and plays games at Captain Cooks Casino is taking a risk in the hope that they’ll receive a reward in return. That’s precisely what Captain Cook himself did when he sailed the high seas all those years ago. Playing online slots and casino games is all about the thrill of the unknown and the chance of finding treasure. That’s why pirate-themed online slots are so popular with players, and that’s why the choice of Captain Cook as a theme for Captain Cooks Casino is a sound one. More could be done with the theme to drive home the point – but perhaps that could happen as part of the long-overdue overhaul of the ageing website that we recommended earlier in this article.
