Betano arrived in the UK amid much fanfare at the beginning of May 2024. It’s a brand that’s done well internationally for many years and has now decided to chance its arm in the lucrative but crowded UK market. In doing so, it partnered with BV Gaming Limited, the parent company of BetVictor. The brand arrived just in time for the Euro 2024 football tournament, which it was a primary sponsor of. You can’t secure sponsorships like that unless you have very deep pockets, but that was all quite a long time ago now. How has Betano settled into the UK market, and is it worth your money to find out? Let’s see.

Betano Welcome Offers

There are two welcome promotions available at Betano. The first is aimed at sports bettors – the demographic that makes up the majority of Betano’s audience. It’s very simple – deposit and bet £10 on football at odds of evens or bigger within three days of joining, and you’ll receive three £10 free bets. One is for a football accumulator with three or more selections, one is for a Bet Builder with three or more selections, and the last can go on any football market. The free bets expire after 14 days, and cashed-out bets don’t count towards the qualifying bet.

The other welcome promotion is for casino fans and is worth a little less. Deposit and wager £10 on one of the casino’s nominated Big Bass slots within seven days to receive a £20 bonus to play on Big Bass Splash. The wagering requirement is set at x10, which is the legal maximum in the UK, and the most you can withdraw from the bonus is £100. The bonus expires after 30 days, and you can only claim one welcome offer, whether it’s for sports or the casino.

Ongoing Promotions

There aren’t many ongoing promotions at Betano, and we don’t think any of them are great. First, the Betano Sports Team promotion offers a free spin of the Sports Team Wheel to anyone who’s placed four £10 bets (or more) on any sports market at odds of 2.00 or bigger between Monday and Sunday each week. The top prize on the wheel is a £50 free bet, but it can only be used on a five-fold accumulator, and the smaller prizes are free bets of between 50p and £5. The other option is the Betano Casino Crew bonus, which gives 10 free spins to anyone who wagers £40 or more on slots by Sunday night, with more to unlock after that.

Beyond those, there’s a 2UP early payout on football, Best Odds Guaranteed on UK and Irish horse racing, a Lucky Dip feature that hands you a random selection at a boosted price, and Golden Chips on selected live casino tables, which pay any winnings as cash. There’s still no loyalty scheme, no deposit bonuses for existing players, and no other perks.

What are the Pros and Cons of Betano?

Top Games at Betano Casino

We’re not going to spend much time discussing the top casino games at Betano because casino games aren’t the point of the site. This is very much a sports betting brand, and most of the other brands on its network are sports betting sites too. If you want to play casino games, you’d be better off going to an actual online casino. Nevertheless, the featured slots when we visited included Fishin’ Frenzy Reely Big Catch Jackpot King, Duck Hunters 2 and Gates of Olympus 2500, and there’s a whole section of Big Bass games. Betano also has two exclusives, a slot called Betano Big Bonus and its own Betano Premium Roulette live table. If you’re more interested in live games, you can rest assured that all the top games from Evolution Gaming are available at Betano, including Crazy Time.

For most people, the draw of Betano will be its sportsbook, which is nominally the same sportsbook you’ll find at BetVictor. However, as a brand, Betano focuses on football. When we visited, though, the homepage opened with the day’s UK and Irish horse racing, with the football fixtures and enhanced prices underneath. The full A-Z list at Betano isn’t the longest, but it includes Gaelic football, futsal, Australian rules and hurling, so plenty of minority-interest sports are covered, as well as the usual big hitters.

Withdrawal Processing and Support

As we alluded to in the pros and cons section of this review, the range of withdrawal methods is something that Betano should be doing much better with. The lack of support for any e-wallets or instant banking services is truly baffling in this day and age, and means the site is somewhat stuck in the past. You can deposit with a debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and withdrawals to any of those are processed within 24 hours. If you ask for a bank transfer, you can expect to wait between one and three working days, and requests made from Friday to Sunday aren’t processed until Monday. The minimum withdrawal is £5.

Customer Support and Licensing

The support team is available around the clock through the Message Us chat service, but you could also email help@betano.co.uk if you’d prefer to get help that way. You can’t pick up the phone and call Betano, and the SMS number it used to offer is no longer listed. If a complaint isn’t settled, you can email resolution@betano.co.uk and then take it to IBAS, the independent adjudication service. The UK Gambling Commission licence that covers Betano is number 39576 and is held by BV Gaming Limited. The register shows no regulatory actions against BV Gaming Limited, so its licence is clean. The same licence also applies to the Betano sister sites we profiled at the top of this page. One small oddity is that the safer gambling banner on the homepage still points players to GambleAware.org, even though that charity closed in March 2026.

Betano – The Verdict

Considering that this is a big brand entering the UK with dreams of making a big splash in the market, Betano feels like it’s missing something. The lack of compelling promotions makes the site feel a little stale, and the lack of modern payment processing methods means that it isn’t as efficient as some of its major rivals. BetVictor is the benchmark against which Betano will be measured, and it simply doesn’t stack up against that kind of competition. Betano has grown a little bit since the first time we reviewed it, which was the day the brand launched in the UK in 2024, but it’s still lagging behind the bigger names that it shares a network with.
