BetCity Sister Sites 2026

One way of looking at BetCity is that the betting and casino site is run by BetEnt BV, which is based in Curacao, and doesn’t operate any other iGaming brands. If we were to stop there, it would mean that there aren’t any BetCity sister sites. That wouldn’t be the full picture, though. In 2023, BetEnt BV was acquired by the enormous Entain plc iGaming group, which also owns LC International Limited. That means BetEnt is on the same platform as Ladbrokes, Coral, and several other huge international gambling and casino brands. As such, we have plenty of BetCity sister sites to tell you about, and we’ll highlight the biggest of them here.

Bwin

Bwin

Bwin and BetCity have a lot in common other than being on the same iGaming platform. Both of them made their names elsewhere before ending up on their current platform. Both of them are also far bigger names internationally than they are in the UK (although in the case of BetCity, it shouldn’t be available in the UK at all). Bwin was founded in Austria in the late 1990s, first coming to prominence as the primary shirt sponsor of Real Madrid – arguably the biggest football team in the world. The sponsorship deal ended a long time ago now, but it afforded the Bwin brand a sense of glamour that still persists today. In addition to offering a massive sportsbook, Bwin is a fully functional modern casino with exclusive slots and games and a massive live casino suite. This is a brand that does everything.

Ladbrokes

Ladbrokes

There’s only one betting brand in the UK that might be able to claim superiority to Ladbrokes in terms of brand awareness, and that’s William Hill. Even then, we place the emphasis on “might.” Ladbrokes holds the distinction of being in business for longer than any other betting brand in the world, with roots that can be traced all the way back to its early days training horses and jockeys in the late 19th century. As a betting brand, it’s been around since the 1920s. That’s more than one hundred years of history. The modern version of Ladbrokes is one of the world’s most complete gambling and casino brands, offering a powerful sportsbook, access to thousands of casino games, bingo, poker, and pretty much everything else you could conceivably want from an iGaming experience. It’s the biggest of the BetCity sister sites, and probably always will be.

BetCity sister sites Ladbrokes

Coral

Coral

Coral is second only to Ladbrokes when it comes to longevity. Joe Coral, the founding father of the Coral brand, opened his very first betting shop in Salford, near Manchester, in 1926. The legal status of betting in the UK was dubious back then, but the Coral brand managed to survive, and was one of the first big-name UK betting brands to move online at the end of the 1990s. For most of its existence, Coral has been a rival brand to Ladbrokes. These days, they operate side by side on the same platform after one of the biggest money mergers in the history of the UK gambling scene. Of all the many BetCity sister sites you could choose from, Ladbrokes and Coral are by far the biggest. The platform at Coral almost mirrors that of Ladbrokes, offering a very similar range of activities but different odds on the same events.

BetCity sister sites Coral

Sportingbet

Sportingbet

Not all of the BetCity sister sites are world-renowned knockouts. Sportingbet is proof of that. It’s never been a huge name, but that didn’t stop it from being snapped up by LC International Limited anyway, after which it became an Entain plc brand after the whole LC International group was bought out by Entain. Before that, Sportingbet had spent some time on the same network as William Hill. That’s a lot of change for a brand that’s only been around since 1997. While the layout and content of Sportingbet will likely look familiar to you if you’ve spent time at either Ladbrokes or Coral, you’ll find that Sportingbet is nowhere near as flashy as either of them. There are far fewer promotions and bonuses available at Sportingbet, with the brand instead choosing to stick close to its sports betting roots, and offering a stripped-back experience.

Gamebookers

Gamebookers

Does Entain plc really need to own and operate as many sports betting brands as it does? We’d lean towards “no,” but who are we to argue with the massive global success that Entain has enjoyed? We can’t see what value Gamebookers adds to the platform of BetCity sister sites, but we’re sure it must be doing something, else the operator would have killed it off years ago. Instead, the brand has been expanded. It was once as basic a sports betting website as you could possibly imagine, but under the ownership of LC International, the site has gained both a casino and a live casino, expanding its purview and making it a little more like Ladbrokes and Coral. It still doesn’t have any promotions, though, and so long as that remains the case, it will always be more like Sportingbet than “the big two” at the top of the Entain plc tree.

BetCity Review 2026

BetCity is a brand that’s been elevated beyond all recognition since it was acquired by Entain plc in 2023. Before that, it was a relatively small sports betting website designed for players in the Netherlands, and operated by a company based in Curacao. Now it’s available in multiple territories and has the backing of one of the biggest iGaming companies in the business. The fact that it’s available in the UK is more than a little surprising when you consider that it has a Netherlands licence rather than a UK Gambling Commission one, but we appreciate that this fast-growing betting brand may be of interest to our international readers – so here’s a detailed review.

BetCity Welcome Offers

BetCity isn’t short on promotions. Most of them are for sports bettors, but you’re more than welcome at the site if you want to play casino games instead. There’s a 100% matched deposit available to use on slots for all deposits of £20 or more, up to a maximum of £250, and with a low wagering requirement of x20. Weirdly, the bonus is only available to players over the age of 24, which we assume has something to do with local law in the Netherlands.

If you don’t want the matched deposit bonus, you could instead take a free spins bonus based on the size of the first deposit you’re willing to make. It’s 25 free spins for deposits between £5 and £19.99 or 50 for deposits between £20 and £49.99. Those spins have a value of 20p each. If you’re looking for a bigger return, you can get 50 free spins with a value of 50p each for a deposit between £50 and £99.99, 100 for £150 to £199.99, or 200 for deposits above £200. The wagering requirement for winnings that come from these spins isn’t explicitly stated, but we assume it to be x20 again.

Those bonuses are fun, but we suspect that most people who land at BetCity have come for sports betting. The sports betting welcome promotion is £50 in free bets for all players who deposit and stake £10 on any event with odds of 1.50 or more. The £50 is delivered as five £10 bet tokens – one for Betbuilders bets, one for live betting, one for pre-match betting, one that has to be used on tennis, and one that can be used on anything the player desires. There are no wagering requirements attached to the sports betting bonus.

Ongoing Promotions

BetCity likes to offer lots of small ongoing promotions rather than one big one. It also likes to tie its sports betting promotions to events happening in the sporting world at the time of your visit. During a major football tournament, for example, expect to see a lot of offers that are specific to that tournament. There are also plenty of mini-offers, too. When we visited BetCity, there was an ongoing £5 free bet offer for everyone who bets £10 on football, a £5 free live sports bet for anyone who bets £10 or more on tennis, and other promotions for other sports that work in a similar vein.

Back on the casino side of BetCity, players can claim twenty free bonus spins just for signing up for the BetCity newsletter. The BetCity spinner offers players the chance to win a small prize every day they log in, and there are free spins available for making deposits on weekends. On the BetCity poker tables, you can get a 10 BetCity gift card just for drawing a hand that contains two aces.

What are the Pros and Cons of BetCity?

Pros: Promotions, and lots of them. The bonuses at BetCity have low wagering requirements and cover almost every activity that the casino offers. There are lots of jackpot slots available for high-rollers, and you’re unlikely to find better coverage of Dutch sports on any other iGaming website.

Cons: Withdrawals are fast, but limited only to bank transfers. You can use other methods to make a deposit but not to make a withdrawal. The casino’s Netherlands licence shouldn’t allow players from the UK to access the site, but we had no problem doing so.

Top Games at BetCity

Casino games are a bigger deal at BetCity than you might expect from a brand so heavily associated with sports betting. The sportsbook is massive and, as we’ve already said, offers unrivalled coverage of Dutch sports, but a huge amount of space on the BetCity homepage is taken up by the top slots at the casino. There’s some space afforded to live casino games, too. This might be a comparatively recent development following on from the acquisition of the BetCity brand by Entain plc, which likes to ensure that all of its sites have full casino suites.

Slots by Pragmatic Play and Play’n Go make up a lot of the top slots collection at BetCity, with the likes of Gates of Olympus and Book of Dead both immediately visible on the casino’s homepage, shoulder to shoulder with less famous titles like Silly Rabbit by Stakelogic and Fairy Dust by Atomic Slot Lab. Gold Blitz Extreme by Games Global has also been deemed worthy of inclusion on the top row. The only live casino game to make the top row cut is Stakelogic’s Live Blackjack, which is presented as a BetCity Lobby exclusive.

Withdrawal Processing and Support

We’re not sure whether something has been lost in the effort of translating the BetCity website from Dutch to English, but the terms and conditions make it sound like the only way to get money out of the casino is to ask for a bank transfer. Even deposits are comparatively limited, available only by debit card, bank transfer or a Trustly-like service called iDEAL, which we assume to be popular in the Netherlands. The good news is that withdrawals are almost instant once verification has been passed, arriving within an average of fifteen minutes.

Customer Support and Licensing

BetCity excels at customer support. Live chat is available around the clock, but you can also speak to a real person 24/7 by calling 0800 238 2489. That strikes us as a UK telephone number, which is an odd thing for a Dutch iGaming site to offer. The casino’s email address is customerservice@betcity.nl. Not all of the BetCity sister sites have the same licensing status due to Entain plc’s global focus, but the one that covers BetCity is Netherlands Gambling Authority licence 1712/01.247.821 which was issued in October 2021. To the best of our knowledge, the licence is clean.

BetCity – The Verdict

BetCity is a brand that’s changed beyond all recognition since joining the Entain plc roster and might be poised to change further. No longer “just” a sports betting website, this is now a site with lots of casino games, big promotions, a reputable licence, and fast withdrawals. Given that it doesn’t dabble in crypto, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be able to successfully obtain a UK Gambling Commission licence if Entain Plc decides to shift it into the UK market. Given that there are so many Entain plc sports betting brands in the crowded UK market already, though, it might struggle to attract attention no matter how good it is.

What are players saying about BetCity?

Here are our condensed / reader’s digest summaries of recent player reviews of BetCity.

  • 15-Jul-2024 by John:
Activated a promo/bonus (bet £43 get £17). I placed the £43 bet but did not receive the £17 free bet. Contacted customer support and they said I couldn’t use the odds boost when placing the £43 bet, which was not in the terms of the promo when I read them. Mentioned this to customer support, but they didn’t care and couldn’t do anything for me. Worst betting site, not user-friendly, and bad customer service makes it worse. – source: Trustpilot
  • 03-Mar-2024 by Andris:
Very good casino, number one in the Netherlands. – source: Trustpilot
  • 01-Mar-2024 by Jimmy:
I registered three weeks ago and requested to change my bank information last weekend. Afterwards, my account was excluded from any promotion for no reason. They use promotions to attract people to open accounts and get addicted, but then suddenly exclude any promotions. It’s really a shame. – source: Trustpilot
  • 08-Feb-2024 by Kevin:
Finally won a £86 bet playing black/red. They told me the betting amount was invalid. Got the £86 back, but it should’ve been £172. Scam site. – source: Trustpilot
  • 13-Dec-2023 by Gambler:
Worst company I’ve ever seen. If you play blackjack, they use bots to bust your hand. If you get 20 and need 21, the bot splits and the dealer takes 21 several times. If you complain or call them scammers, they ban you for life, even if you spend £15,400 like I did. Many fake games and no bonus buy options. – source: Trustpilot
  • 04-May-2023 by Chris:
You’d have more success putting your money in a box with snakes and trying to withdraw it from there. Many reviews say Betcity has fast withdrawals, but my experience is different. Withdrawals are often refused, leading to a game of ping pong where the request has to be made repeatedly until approved. They use unclear terms and random refusals to withhold money. The promotions are credited to your account, but the odds are generally worse than competitors. I had issues with promotions and blackjack game errors, and my account was blocked when I complained further. They owe me but won’t pay. Avoid them. – source: Trustpilot
  • 01-May-2023 by Jimmy:
Since joining BetCity, I’ve referred friends and received £43 for each one. The referral programme was cancelled on 25-Apr without notice. At least two friends joined on 24 April, and I should have received £129, but customer support isn’t responding to my emails. BetCity is not trustworthy and might keep your money. BetCity, please contact me and resolve this issue. – source: Trustpilot
  • 23-Mar-2023 by Gokchick:
Nice games, and I’ve won a fair amount. Maybe this will be a lucky casino for you, too. You never know. – source: Trustpilot
  • 17-Mar-2023 by Anonymous:
I made a mistake, but BetCity was happy to help me out! – source: Trustpilot
  • 05-Jun-2022 by Douwe:
I made a deposit to use a promotion. My transaction needed a second check, and customer service said I’d miss the promotion because the transaction would be approved after it ended. I asked for a refund, but they said I needed to use all my money in casino games before cashing out. The customer service agent blamed me for not knowing the terms, but I couldn’t have known a second check would be needed. Very disappointing. – source: Trustpilot
