Tote Sister Sites 2026

If you know a thing or two about Tote, you’ll know that it’s a very unique betting site. There are hundreds of sports betting sites out there, but none that work in quite the same way that Tote does. When we say that there aren’t many sites like Tote out there in the digital wild, it’s our way of trying to explain to you that there aren’t any Tote sister sites – we’re just doing it as gently as possible. We can’t rule out the idea that TDCO Limited might come up with a few Tote sister sites at some point in the future, but the fact is that they’ve been running Tote for years without ever showing any inclination to add new betting sites to their platform. In the meantime, we’ve picked out three alternatives that come as close as anything to what Tote offers. Two of them are built around pool betting, just like Tote, and the third is a racing specialist with the same traditional feel.

Colossus Bets

Colossus Bets

If it’s the pool betting side of Tote that appeals to you, Colossus Bets is the closest thing to it you’ll find anywhere else. Colossus is licensed purely for pool betting, and its jackpots can be enormous. On the day we checked, there was a £10,000 jackpot on a Win 6 at Kempton and more than £320,000 up for grabs on a Pick 7 on the NFL. Racing fans will feel at home with Place 6, which works a lot like a Tote Placepot, and there are football pools such as Pick 8 1X2 and Pick 3 Correct Score as well. Where Colossus goes further than Tote is with its syndicates. Experienced “captains” put together big combination bets, you can buy a share of them, and a league table shows you which captains have made the best returns. New players can pick up to £40 in rewards over their first four weeks. ColossusBets Limited holds a UK Gambling Commission licence, and its record is clean.

The Football Pools

The Football Pools

Long before anyone had heard of online betting, the football pools were a weekly ritual in households up and down the country, and The Football Pools is still going strong. It trades as The Pools these days, and like Tote, it holds a UK Gambling Commission licence for pool betting. Its Classic Pools game is the one your grandparents would recognise, and when we looked, it was offering a £3 million jackpot plus a rollover jackpot of more than £100,000, with entries from £1. Goal Rush has a £5 million top prize from £2, Lucky Clover has a top prize of £1 million, and subscribers get their first four games free. It’s worth knowing that The Football Pools Limited doesn’t have as clean a record as Tote, though. In March 2025, it agreed to pay £375,000 in lieu of a financial penalty after the UK Gambling Commission found anti-money laundering and social responsibility failings in its online betting between September 2022 and August 2023.

BetGoodwin

BetGoodwin

Not every Tote customer is interested in pool betting for its own sake. Plenty of them come to Tote because they love racing, and if that describes you, BetGoodwin is worth a look. This family-run bookmaker from Uckfield has been in business since 1997, and horse racing still comes first there. Punters who back a horse that’s narrowly beaten can get free bets of up to £100 through a range of racing offers, and it guarantees the best odds on UK and Irish horse and greyhound races for any bet placed from 10am onwards. BetGoodwin is also a lot quicker than Tote when you want your money back, as it aims to process withdrawal requests within 30 minutes. What BetGoodwin doesn’t offer is pool betting. Every bet is at fixed odds, so it’s a more traditional alternative to Tote rather than a like-for-like replacement.

Tote Review 2026

Tote is a betting brand that claims to have quite a history. If you find the “about us” section of its website, you’ll see that Tote claims to have been founded by none other than Sir Winston Churchill in 1928. Whether you can draw a direct line between that version of The Tote and the current digital version of it is debatable, but the connection is there if you want to make it. This current version – by which we mean the website illustrated below that we’re reviewing here – has been around since 2020. It’s a difficult iGaming site to review because it operates so differently from most other sports betting sites – but we’re going to do it anyway.

Tote Welcome Promotions

Promotions work a little differently here than they do at most iGaming sites, but there are still some gifts and perks you can pick up if you wish. New players now get to choose between two welcome offers. The first covers racing and sports. Place a first bet of at least £5 at evens or more during your first week after signing up – either a racing pool bet or a sports bet – and once it’s settled, you’ll receive £10 in Tote Credit for racing and a £10 free sports bet, whether your bet wins or loses. Both expire if they aren’t used within seven days. The second offer is for Tote Games. Register with the code B10GET100, stake £10 on slots, and you’ll get 100 free spins on Big Bass Splash, which also have to be used within seven days.

Other Promotions

The most valuable promotion at Tote isn’t really a promotion at all. It’s the Tote Guarantee, which means that on win bets on UK and Irish racing, Tote will always pay at least the starting price, and if the Tote dividend is bigger, you’ll get that instead (maximum limits apply). It takes away the biggest risk of betting into a pool, which is that the dividend turns out to be smaller than you’d have got from a bookmaker. There are regular racing offers on top, such as Money Back Favourites, which gives you £1 in Tote Credit for every winning favourite on a card once you’ve placed a qualifying £10 bet, and Money Back 2nd offers on selected races each week. Tote Multiples let you combine selections into Lucky 15s, Patents and other multiple bets, there are guaranteed Placepot pools every day (with bigger ones at weekends and festivals), and you can watch every race live on the site without having to place a bet.

The loyalty clubs we used to know and love at this site, the Stayers Club and the Fantasy Bet Club, are no longer listed on Tote’s promotions page, and neither is Tote Plus. Sports bettors get daily price boosts instead, along with money back of up to £5 if one leg of a Premier League Bet Builder lets them down. Additional promotions are available for those who come to Tote to use the attached casino, but we can’t imagine that there are many players in that category.

What are the Pros and Cons of Tote Casino?

Pros: Tote offers a form of betting that you won’t find anywhere else, with a long history going back to the 1920s. It also offers excellent customer support, available via three different mediums. The promotions at Tote might not be enormous, but the Tote Guarantee means you’ll never get less than the starting price on a win bet on UK and Irish racing.

Cons: The site is simply going to be too niche for a lot of players. The loyalty clubs that used to reward regular players have disappeared, and the casino is neither big nor unique enough to work as an attraction in its own right. From a more practical point of view, withdrawals are slow and withdrawal options are limited.

Top Games at Tote

We could use this section of the review to talk about the slots and casino games available at Tote, but we think that would be missing the point. Tote isn’t about casino games, and the fact that it offers casino games is more of a nicety to its players than an attempt to muscle in on the online slots market. As such, there are no individual “top games” at this website. In a way, we suppose that the top games are the two main sports that it offers betting opportunities on – football and horse racing.

You might have noticed by now that we keep using the phrase “betting opportunities” rather than “odds.” That’s because Tote doesn’t usually set odds (although it’s expanded on its original premise in recent years), and it’s just not that kind of bookie. There are a number of ways you can place bets at and with the site, from the traditional “Placepot” bets to “Quadpot” betting or Double, Survivor or Jackpot betting, or you can take on more exotic forms of betting like the Swinger or the Quinella. For football, you’re betting on markets and match predictions, or you can join syndicates and play that way. If you’re totally new to Tote betting, then it might take you a hot minute to get your head around how the whole thing works, but once it clicks, you might just find that you prefer it to the way you’ve been betting on sports up until now. If you decide you prefer the usual way of betting on sports, that option is also available to you, as Tote now has a fixed-odds sportsbook covering hundreds of sports.

Withdrawal Processing & Support

The fact that Tote claims to have a heritage that dates back to the time of Winston Churchill is a fair sign that it likes to do things the traditional way. Unfortunately for those who like to use e-wallets or services like Trustly, doing things the traditional way means that there’s no room for their preferred payment methods. The only way to get money out of Tote is by using a Visa or Mastercard debit card or asking for a bank transfer. Regardless of which option you choose, you’re looking at an estimated wait time of between three and five working days before your cash turns up. Nothing happens quickly at Tote.

Customer Services & Licensing

Customer service is one of Tote’s great strengths. You can speak to the team behind the website almost any way you wish. Live chat is now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and if you’d rather speak to someone, you can phone 0800 032 8188 from the UK (or +44 1942 314045 from abroad) between 8am and midnight every day. The correct email address for the site is customercare@tote.co.uk. Tote is covered by UK Gambling Commission licence 54779, which is held by TDCO Limited. It’s a clean licence with no associated fines or sanctions. The same licence would cover all the Tote sister sites, if any existed.

Tote – The Verdict

We started off this page by saying that Tote is a very difficult site to review, and we’re going to end it by saying almost the same thing. It can’t be compared to other iGaming or betting sites – it exists almost within a bubble. For sports bettors, our suspicion is that Tote is going to be largely like Marmite – you’ll either love it or you’ll hate it with no in-between, and the only way to find out which side of the fence you’re going to come down on is to try it. Perhaps it would be helpful to show you what players think of it to help you make your mind up – which is precisely what we’re going to do below.

What are players saying about Tote Casino?

Here are our condensed summaries of recent Tote reviews from real players.

  • 26-Sep-2026 by New Boy: My £10 withdrawal arrived within minutes, but I still haven’t received a larger withdrawal I made before it. Customer services only give me stock answers. – source: Trustpilot
  • 15-Sep-2026 by Andrew: The design is shocking, and the live casino is always “down for maintenance,” which I think is just a way of pushing you onto the slots. Stay away. – source: Trustpilot
  • 09-Sep-2026 by Niko: I was one game away from winning £1,465 and already in profit, but five minutes later I’d been cashed out automatically for just £34. When I complained, they told me I’d cashed out myself, but I didn’t. – source: Trustpilot
  • 02-Sep-2026 by C Pearce: I’m still waiting for my welcome bonus spins. I wouldn’t recommend this site. – source: Trustpilot
  • 31-Aug-2026 by Becky: I’ve been a customer for over five years. Three deposits totalling £100 left my bank but never reached my account, I was told refunds had been processed but haven’t received them, and now my account has been locked. Four different members of staff have given me conflicting information. – source: Trustpilot
  • 24-Aug-2026 by Dawn: The games don’t play properly when you spin. Don’t ever deposit on this site. – source: Trustpilot
  • 09-Aug-2026 by Derek: Don’t be fooled by the free spins offer. My £10 on the slots returned 50p, and the 100 free spins paid out 78p. That’s £8.72 and an hour of my time gone. – source: Trustpilot
  • 25-Jul-2026 by Harly: Good app design, and my free bets as a new customer were paid with no problems. Withdrawals were instant, too. I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews. – source: Trustpilot
  • 17-Jul-2026 by Stuart: I’ve supported the Tote for more than 60 years, but they closed my account after I refused to hand over my tax returns for an affordability check, even though I’d already sent them three months of bank statements. Shame on them. – source: Trustpilot
  • 04-Jul-2026 by Pawel: The only good thing about this casino is the fast payouts. The free spins features hardly ever trigger in games like Eye of Horus, and most spins pay nothing at all. – source: Trustpilot
