HighBet
Not every brand or betting site on the SCGO Limited network is an original creation. Some of the Lucky Tiger sister sites have come onto the network from elsewhere, and HighBet is one of them. A couple of years ago, HighBet was one of the standout betting and casino sites on the AG Communications Limited network, but that was before the operator decided to leave the UK marketplace following regulatory changes in 2026. That left all of the network’s top brands up for grabs, and SCGO Limited wasted little time getting its hands on HighBet. Lucky Tiger was a surprising addition to the SCGO Limited network in 2026, and it was surprising for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s a casino and betting site born out of a prize draw and competitions company, which is an odd way into the industry. Secondly, it’s gone ahead with the name “Lucky Tiger” despite the fact that there’s been a fairly well-known Lucky Tiger Casino on the international scene for many years now. Thirdly, it identifies itself on its homepage as “Scotland’s Newest Online Bookmaker.” We haven’t been to Scotland for a while, but we don’t recall seeing any tigers on our last visit. On top of all this, the brand announced itself to the world by sponsoring the shorts of Motherwell for the 26/27 season. Let’s take a closer look at this unusual brand.
Lucky Tiger Welcome Bonuses
The only welcome promotion at Lucky Tiger is for sports betting rather than slots or other casino games, and that tells you where the brand’s priorities lie (just in case the tiger in a football shirt on the homepage hadn’t clued you in already). It’s a fairly run-of-the-mill bonus by current standards, giving players £30 in free bets once they’ve deposited and staked £20. The qualifying bet must be staked as a single bet on an event with odds of 1/2 or greater. Once triggered, your £30 will be credited to your account automatically. The £30 is reserved for use only on football bets, with a minimum of 1/2 per selection. You lose the bonus money if it isn’t used in seven days, and stakes aren’t returned with winnings when using bonuses.
Other Promotions
It was still early days for Lucky Tiger when we visited the site to write this review, and there wasn’t much going on in terms of ongoing promotions. There’s a permanent guarantee that your football bet will be paid out as a winner if you back a team that goes 2-0 up, but that’s become standard issue across most UK online bookies in the past couple of years. In keeping with the brand’s focus on Scotland, there was also a 4/1 bet available on Celtic, Rangers, Motherwell, Hibernian and Hearts all to win their respective games on the weekend, which actually feels a little stingy considering the form of some of those clubs when the bet was offered. It’s possible that more bonuses will be added over time, but it’s slim pickings at the moment.
What are the Pros and Cons of Lucky Tiger?
Pros: Lucky Tiger is a brand with personality. It has an unusual backstory, a particular focus on Scotland, and a fun mascot. It offers Scotland-focused bonuses, especially on football fixtures.
Cons: There are no casino promotions at all. Withdrawals will take at least two days no matter which method you use, and the range of options isn’t made clear before you sign up. Lucky Tiger doesn’t come across as being interested in conquering the entire UK sports betting scene. It appears far more focused on serving Scottish football fans, and it might have a better chance of succeeding with that aim. The only real competition it has in that mini-market is McBookie, and we think it’s the better bet of the two. Even with the couple of teething problems the site had close to launch, it comes across as more modern, and its range is more extensive. There isn’t enough on the hook to keep bonus chasers coming back to the site, though, and it could do with both explaining its withdrawal process better and making it move faster.
