Spin Casino

For many years, the version of Spin Casino that was available to players in the UK was a pale imitation of the one that players saw elsewhere in Europe. It had a different logo, a different layout, and fewer games. 2024 saw Betway Limited revamp its platform, dispensing with tired old sites like Dream Bingo and giving a fresh coat of paint to others. Spin Casino benefitted from that process. The version that UK players now have access to is broadly similar to the one that players see across the European continent, and it should be a huge improvement on what came before. Let’s see if that theory holds out as we review it.

Spin Casino Welcome Offer

The welcome offer at Spin Casino has changed again since we last reviewed it, and this time it’s a clear improvement. The matched deposit and its x50 wagering requirement have gone, and new players now get 150 free spins instead. You’ll need to choose the offer when you register, then deposit and stake at least £20 on casino games within seven days. The spins are worth 10p each and arrive in three batches of 50, 24 hours apart, to use across five Games Global slots: Dark Water Power Combo, Candy Express Gold Blitz, Bass Cash Assembl’em, 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy and Links of Ra Cashingo. Best of all, there’s no wagering requirement on the spins, so anything you win is yours to withdraw.

There’s one catch, though. Only debit card deposits qualify, and the terms then list a long string of card issuers that don’t count, including Revolut, Wise and Bank of Cyprus UK. If you bank with one of the newer app-based banks, check that list before you deposit.

Ongoing Promotions

Spin Casino no longer has a dedicated promotions page. Its ongoing offers are only shown once you’ve logged in, and the homepage simply says that tournaments, jackpot campaigns and loyalty rewards appear in the lobby when they’re running. The jackpots, at least, are easy to find, with Mega Moolah, WowPot and Lotsa Loot prize pools ticking over on the homepage. The old Spin Casino always felt lightweight compared to Betway Casino, and we’re beginning to get the feeling that the new one is just as lightweight – it just comes in a prettier package than it once did.

What are the Pros and Cons of Spin Casino?

Top Games at Spin Casino

Spin Casino doesn’t do a great job of highlighting its games portfolio. The All Games page lists more than 2,000 titles, so the collection covers most categories that players might be interested in. If you’re after live casino games, Spin Casino has you covered. If you’re more interested in simulated table games, there are options for that, too. Live game shows are included in the portfolio, as are Vegas-style games and jackpot games. With a name like “Spin Casino,” though, it’s inevitable that the top games at the site will be slots. When we visited, the Top Games row was led by Amazing Catch Cold Rush Power Combo, Fishin’ Madness Quadgrows, Rumble Kong Cashingo and Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Catch, but here are two of the less obvious slots in the lobby.

Football Star: This is one of several “sports star” games released by Microgaming (now known as Games Global) over the past decade. Football Star came out in 2014, offering 96.29% RTP and average volatility. It doesn’t do as much as it perhaps should do with the football theme save for the inclusion of a few football-related graphics, but it makes up for that by including stacked wild symbols, “multiplier trails,” and avalanche wins. Football Star looks a little dated now that it’s passed its tenth anniversary, but it still has the potential to entertain and delight.

Aureus: In yet another instance of “casino games can be educational,” an Aureus is the name that was given to a gold coin in the days of ancient Rome. That’s a clue to the theme of this surprisingly ugly-looking 2021 release from Crazy Tooth Studio, which offers average variance and 96% RTP. The 2D cartoon style of the slots’ graphics was probably intended to be retro but instead comes across as basic, but if you can overlook that, you’ll find a constantly-changing game packed with reel modifiers and various “special” coins, all of which can have a material impact on the value of your wins.

Withdrawal Processing & Speed

Spin Casino doesn’t have a banking page. Instead, you have to go rooting through the full terms and conditions of the casino to find information about payment processing, and you might want to put your glasses on because the small print is very small. That’s certainly a choice on the casino’s part. When we eventually found the information, it was largely good news. The terms only mention two ways to withdraw, which are debit cards and PayPal, and the minimum withdrawal for either is £5. If your balance is smaller than that, Spin Casino will still pay it out, but it’ll take a £1 processing fee. Where possible, Spin Casino attempts to process withdrawals within twenty-four hours, although the terms warn that this can vary at weekends. You shouldn’t be left waiting too long for your money.

Customer Support and Licencing

Spin Casino offers live 24/7 live chat support. It’s the only way to get in touch with the casino, but as it’s available at all hours, we can’t complain too much about that. If you’d rather send an email, the terms give ukmanager@spincasino.co.uk as the address for customer support, although the Contact Us page itself only lists an email address for data protection questions, and the terms also include a German Betway address that’s been left over from somewhere else. The UK Gambling Commission licence that covers Spin Casino is #39372, and is held by Betway Limited. This is the same licence that covers all of the Spin Casino sister sites, and the public register currently shows no regulatory actions against it.

Spin Casino – The Verdict

Spin Casino is better than it was, but still nowhere near as good as it could be. Its new look has brought it into the modern age of iGaming from the point of view of aesthetics, and the move to wager-free welcome spins shows it has finally looked again at its bonus terms, even if it still needs more of them. We feel like players abroad still get a better version of Spin Casino than players in the UK do, and if you’re going to play casino games with this operator, we think you’d still be better off at either Jackpot City or Betway Casino. It isn’t the most exciting casino on this platform, but it’s a safe and solid one these days.
